About the Game

Where in the World is Motoko Tokyo is a blockchain-powered puzzle adventure built on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). Players from around the world compete to solve a series of cryptic riddles, each step bringing them closer to finding Motoko Tokyo and winning the bounty prize.

How It Works

Pay the entry fee in ICP to join the current round. Progress through multi-step riddles, each requiring logic, research, and sometimes a bit of luck. All answers are validated on-chain for fairness and transparency. The first player to solve all riddles in a round claims the bounty and a spot on the leaderboard.

Dynamic Entry Fee

The entry fee for each round is calculated dynamically based on the number of active players. The price starts at a base value and increases logarithmically as more players join, up to a maximum cap. This ensures early players get a lower price, while later entrants help grow the prize pool.

Logistic Formula:
Entry Fee = basePrice + ((maxPrice - basePrice) / (1 + e-growthRate × (n - midPoint)))

Where basePrice is the minimum entry fee (e.g., $10.00), growthRate controls how quickly the price increases (e.g., 0.1), n is the number of players, and maxPrice is the maximum possible entry fee. The price is always rounded to two decimal places and will never exceed the maximum cap.

Why Blockchain?

By leveraging ICP smart contracts, all game logic, payments, and leaderboards are decentralized and tamper-proof. No central authority can alter results or withhold prizes.
