Terms of Service
Welcome to Where in the World is Motoko Tokyo! By accessing or using this game, you agree to the following terms:
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to use this service. By participating, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that your participation is not prohibited by the laws of your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable local laws and regulations regarding online games, contests, and the use of cryptocurrencies.
2. Game Mechanics
Players join by paying an entry fee in ICP, calculated at the current exchange rate. Fees are split: 70% to the bounty pool, 20% to platform fees, 10% to developers. Players solve riddles step-by-step. The first to complete all riddles in a round wins the bounty. Leaderboard rankings are based on performance and winnings.
3. Payments & Prizes
All payments and prize distributions are handled on-chain via the ICP ledger. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by the underlying blockchain or network.
Entry Fee Calculation
The entry fee for each round is determined by a dynamic pricing formula that increases the fee as more players join. The formula is:
Entry Fee = basePrice + growthRate × log(n)
where n is the number of players, and the fee is capped at a maximum value. The current entry fee will always be displayed before you join a round.
4. Fair Play
No cheating, exploiting, or using automated scripts/bots. Attempts to manipulate the game or disrupt other players will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prizes.
5. Data Collection
By using this service, you consent to the collection of your Discord username and email for authentication and community features. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Limitation of Liability
This game is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any losses, including lost ICP, due to bugs, exploits, or network issues.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the game after changes means you accept the new terms.
